WIDOS 2500 IR

The WIDOS 2500 IR is a machine especially designed for the infrared or contact heating element butt welding of pipes and fittings from OD 50 up to OD 160. It is intended for the easy and secure processing of PP et PVDF, all IR-suitable materials and virtually all fluoride materials without system bonding. For safe fixation the workpieces can be placed in narrow aluminum clamps resp. fitting clamps. These 2-piece basic clamping tools are swiveling by 15° on each side, reducer inserts and pipe supports in prismatic version are correspondingly available.

The WIDOS 2500 IR is designed for the manual infrared welding of PP and PVDF pipes and fittings. The welding can be carried out in infrared or by contact. In case of contact welding attachment plates are needed which have to be attached before the welding process. For the precise milling of the parts prior to welding, an electric planer with built-in stops is suspended into the basic machine. For a safe storage of the planer after use it is kept in a special protection box. The infrared heater is available with stops for an exact irradiation distance and a ceramic coating up to max. 450 °C. The attachment plates for the heating element butt welding limit the welding temperature to max. 250 °C. The heating element is mounted on a sturdy base frame with a precise 2-axis guide and manually drawn between the welded parts. The temperature is controlled by a digital control unit with separate power plug and switch.
